Idaho Admission
Idaho admitted with sections 16 and 36 of each township granted in trust for schools. Idaho's Endowment Fund Investment Board continues to manage the proceeds today.

The 2026 Advocates for School Trust Lands National Conference brought advocates, trustees, educators, and school-trust-land experts to Salt Lake City for two days on how land generates revenue for public schools, how coalitions are built, and how the money can be tracked back to the beneficiaries.

The 2026 National Conference drew more than 40 registered attendees to the Utah State Capitol for two days of programs on trust-land accountability — the revenue the lands generate, the coalitions that defend them, and the work of tracking the money back to the public school beneficiaries the trusts exist to serve.
